Dr. Drew, although you may be right when saying that there may be a psychological side to it you cannot describe IC as a made up thing. IT IS REAL! please do you homework!

I don't care about or want an appology from you. You have lost all respect from me as a doctor and human! How dare you call the debilitating disorder a garbage bag disease!! Do some research and talk to Dr. Camran Nezhat and Dr. Andrew Cook before you comment on this again!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Drew's comments reveal him as nothing more than a misinformed misogynist. It's disgusting that anyone like him would be given airtime - he owes an apology not only to women who suffer from endometriosis, IBS, and IC, but to any woman anywhere who hopes to hold on to any shred of dignity and self-worth.

If Dr.Drew could walk just one day in our shoes.... Perhaps he would have a much clearer understanding how real these DISEASES are. Yet something tells me he couldn't handle this level of pain.

I suffer from IC, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, pudendal neuralgia, vulvadynia, PCOS. I would never wish these things on anyone. I have gone from being a normal young adult to being not able to work or have anywhere a normal life. I am very pissed you said this! You have no clue what its like to be in pain 24/7 and how much it takes out you and your close friends and family.

I too suffer with Endometriosis and IC as well as Adenomyosis, PCOS, and Hashimoto's disease. I have dealt with many doctors who feel the way Dr. Drew does, and they forced me to ignore my disease for over a decade. I lost ten years of my life to this ignorance, and now Dr. Drew has used his, very large, platform to spread that ignorance even further. Some day my daughter's may suffer with Endometriosis, IC, or some of my other ailments and I hope that they don't encounter the kind of misogyny that I did. I have suffered with endometriosis for many years, through many surgeries and infertility workout sexual abuse. I currently have a non- profit working to reach those affected by infertility. The last thing we need is more people acting like endo and IC are not real. I have a hard enough time with my family and friends who have zero understanding or compassion as "I don't look sick"
For some reason, since endo involves women only, it gets no attention. IC is mainly suffered by women. These illnesses are where breast cancer was 40 years ago. These illnesses are proven by scopes so there is no way to "fake" them. They are both incredibly painful and frustrating. I have lost way too much of my life to surgeries, treatments and not feeling well. Along the way, I have worked full-time and earned 2 Master's Degrees and raised a family. I would come home from work and collapse from exhaustion most nights. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on medical treatments while my peers used that money for vacations and other much more fun pursuits. Dr. Drew just made my life even harder and it hurts that in 2014 there are still people who spout this insanity.

I think doctors that know more about the disease should go on the show and explain what endometriosis is, how it is emotionally difficult to endure because of what is does to the body and how it is extremely painful.

I am overwhelmed and saddened that someone in the medical profession could be so tactless and insensitive to categorize anyone's diagnosis as "garbage" and have a blatant disregard for an entire group of women. To state that the only possible explanation for someone's chronic pain related to their endometriosis or Interstitial Cystitis is the physical manifestation of childhood sexual trauma. This is an archaic and sexist perspective and is no way based in medical fact. This is exactly why we CANNOT stay silent and why we need to educate those around us about the REAL endometriosis.
