We really need the source code. There are so many GREAT phones out there, but they they don't get updated or modded because nobody knows how to 'correctly' support them.

If their reason for not releasing these source code is that they could just make new product, their statement makes the money-whore and not a company leading to development of technology

I recently bought a MT6752 smartphone and it is immediately useless due to bloat and a clunky OS. I'm attempting to build an AOSP ROM for this phone, but I'm finding there is no source available for the SoC. I'm rethinking that I should have bought a Snapdragon 615 phone instead.
