I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I was first abused at 6 years old and my last abuse was at 18 years old. It was almost daily and varied in intensity. I am now 47 years old. I started treatment in May of this year after symptoms of PTSD took over my life.
My predator is now dead, and was never punished for his crime. By the time I felt able to tell of my abuse, the statute of limitations had already passed. I am interested in trying to get the statute of limitations for child sexual abuse lifted so that predators can be prosecuted at any time.
