Keep the original and TRUE definition of woman and women. It's fine to be trans, but if a natal male can be a woman (adult human female) in the dictionary then words and definitions are meaningless.

As a social scientist (and daughter of a biologist) who studies male violence against women and children, I am appalled at the efforts to allow anyone to be identified as a woman. This is completely unscientific and is a threat to necessary and accurate data collection and research in a number of fields including sociology, psychology, criminology, and medicine. It is also beyond insulting and traumatizing to the victims of male violence to allow MEN who simply say they are women to have their egregious crimes against women and children attributed to the female sex. This absurdity must stop. The definition of women and girls must be based on biological sex as observed at birth in order to proserve scientific integrity. The effort to redefine "woman" as simply anyone who says they're a woman is blatant misogyny which has far reaching consequences for women and children. It is appropriation and colonization of the oppressed half the species for the perverse amusement of a microscopic, mentally ill, male percentage of the population. It is beyond me that everywhere people are willing to bend to this MALE ideology while meanwhile bisexual women are completely ignored and suffer the highest rates of violence of any other sexual orientation. So this is not at all about inclusion. It is simply and purely misogynistic at its core and anyone supporting this ideology should be ashamed.

Women are an objective biological reality. It is extremely offensive to reduce us to a concept or idea which anyone can identify with. Do not change the category woman to include biological males as this destroys woman's rights and leaves them open to abuse.

Women is a DESCRIPTIVE word that describes a body organized around large immobile gametes. Woman is not a "gender identity." Girls who die in female infanticide, suffer FGM, trafficking, child marriages, are exploited and oppressed because of their SEX, not because of an adopted "gender identity." I stand for the accurate scientific classification of woman meaning: ADULT HUMAN FEMALE. The term "woman" is just as neutral to humans as the word "mare" is for horses, or the word "ewe" is for sheep. Redefining women into an open category that anyone can identify into is sexist and regressive and harmful to women/girls!
