Biology is real. The rest (with the exception of intersex conditions...and even then should have their own separate sport category) can be attributed to outdated, sexist stereotypes. Likes, dislikes, clothing and music tastes are part of one’s unique personality. The internalised misogyny is strong if one can’t see how reducing being a woman to being a ‘feeling’ is misogynistic and insulting.

women are oppressed, violated, excluded on the grounds of their biological sex. women's rights are human rights

Women do not change sex. Gender is about stereotypes. Stop the mysogony.

Keep women's sport for women. We have only recently secured many rights for women, please do not give them away in a misguided attempt to be "woke". The safety and interests of women matter.

We all know women and men are not the same.

Men and women are biologically different regardless of how a person identifies. Men and women differ physically in many ways, sleletal, hormonal, muscle mass etc. How can fairness be achieved when basic biology and scientific fact are being ignored? Segregated spaces, sports etc were segregated for reasons and those reasons do not change because someone is not comfortable in their own skin. After all how does a man know how a woman feels or a woman know how a man feels? They don't.

A deeply concerning falsehood with misogyny at it’s heart.

No amount of surgery or estrogen can reverse male puberty--the growth in muscle mass, wingspan, lung growth, bone strength. Transwomen are men.

Women and girls will be disadvantaged if this definition is adopted scientifically. If you are not born a female, you cannot biologically be a woman or girl. Recognition of males who identify as females is not scientifically accurate. Acceptance as individuals in society is a separate matter

Saying something is... Does not make it so. Who is going to protect women and girls from being even further down trodden?

You cannot deny biological sex. It's dangerous and demeaning to all concerned.

Woman is an adult human female. We are born, not worn and we are not an idea in any man’s head. The science is there to prove all of this, so I’d like to know what science this organisation purports to get their facts from?

I would love to know who is paying how much money to the Academy to adopt this flat-earth-level nonsense. I can't imagine the minds of the Academy are so addled that they've undermined all scientific principle, so this must be good old brown envelope carry-on. Shame on them.

We know that discrimination against females persists. How? We know who the women and girls are, and we can count. Allowing self-identification of sex is not a benign act. Potentially , it has huge negative consequences for all females.

Respect for individuals cannot displace rights for an entire subset of our human classification and for such a small sample to have such effect indicates instability in the governing influence. Regardless of the personal experience of individuals, as a whole these changes are unnecessary to accomplish equity.
