No ASHP as it is not efficient.

ASH was nowhere when acupuncturists had worked hard to gain its legalization and the recognition by insurance companies. It appeared when it realized acupuncture is becoming popular. ASH becomes the middleman to steal money from the hard working doctors by signing up exclusive contracts with more and more insurance companies. ASH sets the reimbursement price at a unreasonable low and has not raise it from its beginning about 15 years ago, no matter how hard the doctors had cried out!

This robbery and degradation of highly qualified, educated, effective Health professionals must stop now.

This insurance company is taking advantage of the hard work providers do for their patients. Providers deserve a fair compensation for their time, effort, education and skill. Patients deserve better coverage that pays their providers fair compensation.

I am out of network with Blue Cross. I was paid around $150 a visit. Had I been in network with ASH, I would have received $41! I have 5 years of graduate school. This is an insult!

ASH is a cancer in the insurance reimbursement world. It must be eradicated.

How is ASH taking more than 50% of acupuncturists’ direct insurance payments benefitting the public who most desperately need their care? Patients end up having to pay more out of pocket since acupuncturists have to charge for non-covered services. ASH is pure corporate greed and must be stopped.

ASH will remove acupuncturist from the insurance system as we refuse to work with a system that requires 10x the unpaid paperwork and pays us pittance. We will become cash based clinics at a time when alternatives to pain management outside of traditional pharmacology are desperately needed.

What ASH is doing is a disgrace to the public

I was in network with ASH for years but quit a long time ago due to the low reimbursement and paper work. Now Blue Shield is using ASH. The reimbursement is far below fair market price.

We lose money by seeing ASH patients, not even including the extra administrative hoops they require us to jump through for visits to be paid
