This isn't a party, this is a remembrance, and fundraising event for an orphanage in Russia. These young men at Sigma Nu are trying to do a good thing - and it is sad that the University doesn't seem to care.
If this was a booster for the Football team, I bet the university would support that - that's honestly all they seem to care about. Personally, I except more from my alma mater

This is ridiculous. I’ve been a full supporter of every Pandemic mandate since the beginning, and we are at the point of progress where this should easily have been signed off on.

It sounds to me like this is a responsible group desiring to safely continue the support of a charity and an honorable tradition. It also sounds like UMU needs to be careful that they are not playing favorites when it comes to which events they are allowing.

It sounds like the fraternity members made sure they took all precautions needed for safety, they should be allowed to hold the event.

This is a well planned, socially distanced and virtual event with online donations. It is a tradition that should be upheld. The orphanage has benefited for 36 years from this!

This event means so much to so many people! Absolutely ridiculous the University won’t allow you to have it.

It's shameful of the university to deny this event but to let non important ones go on, like tie dye where people are not very distanced.
