As I sign this, mount union just hours ago held an RPB event on campus with over 40 attendees from all corners of campus. As i sign this, sports teams hold regular training with more than 20 athletes, all from different houses on campus. As i sign this, plans for in person graduation, with likely over 200 attendees from all over the country will stand side by side in the bleachers.
To ignore this is to ignore a bias university that only accepts events that supports their personal reputation or bank account.

As a alumni of this chapter, I believe they are doing this the right way and the safest way possible. The university is in the wrong. Let Mike Hardy continue his legacy!

Speaking from the standpoint of an alumnus of Mount Union and member of Sigma Nu. This is the most important event that the fraternity puts on that gets the community involved and is for a great cause. The fraternity has made accommodations for COVID making it brothers only. These guys live with each other and would conduct this event safely. To shut this down would be a huge blow to not only the fraternity but to the Ponery orphanage. Please reconsider allowing these boys to host the event.

If both guidelines are being followed by the CDC and Mount Union then there is no reason for this event to not be held. Not only are other organizations holding similar events but the 2021 graduation ceremony is being held in person this year and there will be a substantial amount of people attending that ceremony. This event is a good cause and something the brothers of Sigma Nu are extremely passionate about. The amount of hard work they put in every year to make this event a success is amazing. Not only that but I can only imagine the struggles of putting it together this year with the extra guidelines. Overall I highly would recommend Mount Union to accept the request for their event.
