Halloween Costume supplier "Halloween City" is carrying a costume entitled "Anna-Rexia." The costume is a tight dress of a skeleton, with a heart shaped name tag that says "Anna Rexia." Anorexia Nervosa is a disorder that manifests itself as the fear of gaining weight. Victims of this starve themselves to serious illness, and sometimes death. You wouldn't make a costume of any other serious illness, would you? The idea of this costume is absolutely despicable. As someone who suffers from anorexia nervosa I find this "costume" humiliating. Would you sell a breast cancer costume? Or a prostate costume? They are both just as deadly as an eating disorder. Unfortunately physical disorders are seen as more critical and life threatening. Mental disorders are just as life threatening as any psychological disorder out there. They are not something to make fun of. Please take this off the market. Thank you. one of the few eating disorder survivors

EDs aren't a joke. None of the so-called "edgy" costumes these shock jocks sell people are funny. It's regressive and desensitizing.
Absolutely disgusting. Mental illness is not a costume nor is it something to be joked about.
This makes me sick. After 3 years of battling with myself I'm ashamed to see people mocking it. What's next? A bulemia costume? PTSD costume? I'm ashamed to say I live among such ignorant people.
This costume is degrading to all women.
This is a stupid costume, it just reinforces the stereotype that all women have to look like models to be accepted.....and it also promotes body shaming as far as I am concerned....

I have had experience with anorexia and it is definitely not a thing to mock. Its a serious condition that can't be helped and that most sufferers want to get rid of. nobody should want or ask for the disease, so no one should wear a costume like that for fun
