Our state has some of the best potential for wild trout if given a chance. Leave the stocked fish for streams without wild populations.

i agree, and we should keep the fisherman off the browns during and after the spawn, the dates of said spawn activity are widely known.

It is imperative that anglers, PAFBC, and water resource managers work together to promote wild cold water fisheries in PA. As a professional in the fly fishing industry, I see the amount of money that the state makes not only from instate anglers, but also trout anglers who travel to the State College area to fish our limestone streams. There is a need to move entirely away from stocking waters where there is a presence of natural reproduction and in those streams have rules that only allow for catch and immediate release.

PAFBC needs to stop stocking over wild brown trout populations.

Yes please fix PA trout season. I'm all for stocking trout, but the streams die off after a very short time. I'd like to be able to fish them anytime of the year and have fish to potentially catch. Catch and release only sections or special limits!

Personally I think the length limit should be 14inches statewide all year with a no harvest during spawn

Codorus Creek should be a catch and release only wild trout fishery. It is a very unique tailwater as it has a high pH, promoting aquatic plants and ultimately aquatic insects; almost very unlike traditional tailings. If this stream was managed correctly, as in catch and release only, it would become a great wild fishery. And I don’t use the word great lightly as PA has some of the best. NZ mud snails have been introduced, we will see soon how this may affect the stream in its current state of regulation.
