Please help us spread the word so this senseless accident doesn't happen to another family. We need special needs buses to have phones provided for bus drivers as well as aides who can monitor the children while riding on the bus. An unfortunate accident took the life of Kevin Cisler who was only three years old on Friday, March 25 2011. He lost his life riding home from school. Another parent taking their child off the bus noticed him unconscious and notified the driver who had no phone to call for help. Below is a piece of an article written about the incident: ALISO VIEJO -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy found unresponsive on a school bus Friday afternoon, Orange County Sheriff's Department and California Highway Patrol officials said. The boy was being brought back home from a special needs school in Dana Point when he was found unresponsive by a parent taking another child off the bus on Seven Kings Place near Wellington Place about 2:30 p.m., Sheriff's Department investigator Dan Salcedo said. The parent notified the bus driver, who asked a resident to call 911, California Highway Patrol officer Chris Goodwin said. Paramedics took the boy to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. By SEAN EMERY THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER The Orange County Register The Orange County Register updated 3/26/2011 6:45:29 AM ET 2011-03-26T10:45:29 If there was an aide on the bus to watch and help the children and if the bus driver had a phone, it could've saved precious minutes that ultimately could've saved Kevin's life.
