We are running out of open space in Carson City. Let's keep what we have left.

I drove by this area yesterday and the reality is this area has now become blighted with overgrown sage brush and weeds. It really needs development. A community of new homes with trees and trails would be good here. I have a big open space behind my house on the other side of town, but it's public land and the county maintains it. This is private property and the only way to have something nice here for the neighbors is to develop a new community and maintain it.

Steve is spot on. This is one of the poorest developments in the history I=of Caron City. Steve really knows this.

The proposal for vintage does not belong in that area of Carson city on the last open land left on the west-side of town....vintage belongs on the east-side of Carson

This Vintage project must be stopped. We have seen something like this while living in Albuquerque and it turned out to be horrible not only for the home owners but the surrounding areas.

Changing the existing zoning just to benefit a single private property owner and private property developer is not supported by Carson City's Master Plan and does not benefit the community in any way. Develop the property, but follow the existing zoning for single family residences in this area

There is no reason to develop this property in this manner. The Anderson Ranch property lies at the heart of Carson City's most valuable asset, the beautiful landscape that makes this neighborhood so desirable. The City should buy the property and turn it into a recreational area, not a rabbit warren of cheap houses that will only cause congestion and headaches.

Please preserve this open space. This is in my neighborhood and I treasure the view daily. I also worry about how building in this area will affect the flood zones and runoff to neighboring properties.

Leave our open space open!

I agree, often when trying to avoid traffic headaches, I will drive this back road to get across town and enjoy my drive, the view through that field is amazing. I feel this development would take that away from myself and many other folks. Build it in Reno. Caraon City does not need more housing, the folks that live here now can't afford to buy houses so why build more? To house the rich? Leave the field empty please or perhaps find something that does not destroy the feel of the entire area.

Don't ruin our last remaining open space.

I'm all in favor of open space.

Could the Nature Conservancy and/or Nevada Land Conservancy be persuaded to partner with Carson City in the purchase of this property for wildlife habitat preservation?

Here here for open spaces. It is what makes Carson so beautiful.

The issue is that this is not open space. This is private property that the owners have a right to develop. The neighbors to this land did not have an issue when they built their homes!

We are losing so much wildlife habitat, typically to unplanned, ill-construed projects. Part of what makes Carson City beautiful and unique is the wildlife that shares our community. Please preserve this habitat

We need to value and treasure our open land. Carson city doesn't have much room for growth. Leave it open!

Once it is gone there is no going back; I hope we can save this treasured space.
