With the Lompa Ranch property being developed, it is vital that the Anderson parcel, one of the last virgin pasture lands in the area, be preserved. I wonder why a Go Fund Me page has not been set up to purchase the land? If 4,000 people (out of 55,000+) each gave $1,000 that would be $4 million to cover the re-purchase. Just a thought. Thanks for your efforts. I'm afraid big money and profit dooms many great efforts to preserve open space.

I’m a fairly new resident to Carson Valley..we moved here just because of the open spaces..cattle grazing and impeccable views. Building more will ruin the appeal of this very beautiful way of life!

I’m opposed to what little open space we have left being filled with homes and apartments. Where is the water coming from? We are already buying a good portion of our city water from Douglas County. What are the Planning Commission and City Supervisors thinking? Money, Money, Money and taxes is the only thing that turns the wheels in these narrow minds. Disgusted-please stop

Developing this land would be a tragedy of epic proportions. I do not think I'm overstating this. I've lived in Carson City for over 40 years, and it is these green spaces that make Carson City so special. It literally is the thing that makes live worth living here. I am absolutely shocked and saddened that this property has been re-zoned by the Board of Supervisors for intense development that is completely at odds with the very fabric and spirit of our beloved community. I plan on telling absolutely everyone I know about this (and I know a lot of people), of this travesty.

The Anderson ranch backs up right the my property line, I sincerely hope this never passes to be built. I love seeing the mountains and wildlife. I don’t want to see 200+ homes behind me, nor have the traffic.

This development's density, and apparent lack of interest in the surrounding neighborhoods is poorly planned. We need to insure that the integrity of the area is upheld.

Carson City does need affordable housing, but it needs open space even more. More housing means more people; that means more costs to taxpayers, a diminution of neighborliness, and an overall decline in the quality of life. The argument for "affordable" housing has been proven over the decades since WW II to lead to more development and higher prices. Save the Space.

Like it was said. We need to bring in the younger crowd and stop catering to the senior facilities. Our hospital, fire department, & sheriff departments are not getting the staffing to handle the growth. Make this town better.

Some of the real concerns are ; water, traffic and taking the last of our beautiful open space which makes Carson the beautiful place to live it is.
I live on Thompson St. It is barely 4 blocks long and has 1000 cars traveling up and down it daily at average speeds of 35 and 40 mph. That is what happened when they built Spring Meadows and put houses on Crain St. It's a bit of a nightmare.
