I agree wholeheartedly. I have a 26 year old daughter who has been suffering much of her life and is unable to work, or play. She is largely bedridden most days and needs specialized care by someone who can address the root issues.

2 daughters that both have PANDAS. We need help and acknowledgment in the medical community and the school system.

As you are trying to understand Autism showing up overnight, I can show you - 1 year apart from any vaccine, my son contacted strep and went from a bubbly, social, flamoyant performer who flirted with women everywhere we went to being unable to hardly speak. It wasn't vaccines. It was PANDAS. I can show you video of the switch flipping. Our families desperately need you to investigate this and get IVIG & other treatments to be required to be covered by insurance companies. Please sit with PANS/PANDAS families to hear our stories. I am wildly opposed to this administration and even I would sit with you and share our story and photos and videos with you to show you how this happens. It needs attention STAT.

Please please help. My nephew was born fine. At age 9 years old he got strep and it has turned him into a nonverbal adult child. His parents can't help. Mom can't go out of the house!! The medical field is using psychotic drugs and it is not working. It's an inflammation of the brain. We need facilities and insurance that will pay throughout the US. Must help. Most sick kids are male. Only 7 states have started doing something but there is a 2 year wait and only for state residents!! We are begging you ❤️

Pandas is not widely understood in NJ. In the field of social work I rarely find providers who are knowledgeable about Pandas and some just don't believe it exists. I watch staff discuss everything but encephalopathy when considering causes of behaviors and symptoms. Once you are educated it is easy to spot AE, Pandas, Pans. But too few are educated and there is hestitation amongst hospital staff to embrace the diagnosis and educate themselves about it. My kids with Pandas are enrolled in a research study on Pandas at Columbia and they lost funding - this was going to give MDs hard evidence showing it's existence. Please fund research. We have a large history of strep issues in our family, and my kids had overnight onsets with strep throat. Had MDs recognized that I was having chronic peri anal strep rashes and chronic sore throats and suffering from untreated Lyme and untreated strep, my kids may not have acquired immune issues/Pandas. I’m an integrative practitioner and believe May of the rate and chronic conditions we see see are related to toxins that overwhelm the body.

PARENTS AND CHILDREN NEED THIS NOW, NOT LATER.....PLEASE. There are so many sweet children in mental health institutions that should not be there, it is cruel and harsh for these children who cannot help what is happening to their brains. Antipsychotic meds do not help!!! Please help our children now!!!
