Going from a diagnosed past case of strep to a major overnight change in my Granddaughter led me down the rabbit hole to discover PANDAS and confirm it with her pediatrician. Please acknowledge this medical condition that affects so many. We lack resources and as parents/grandparents we should not be the ones to educate doctors, school officials, insurance companies, etc. as to what these poor individuals and their families face on a daily basis. When I ask my Granddaughter why she does certain actions, etc. her reply is…”because my head is messed up”. Please bring awareness to PANS/PANDAS so action can be taken to get these individuals the help they need!

Please help our health system improve how patients receive proper treatment instead of leaving them feeling abandoned or not treated the causes, symptoms, effects, etc etc leading to worse results and sometimes additional health problems.
