PANDAS Awareness please

My grandson suffers from PANDAS. Heartbreaking to watch him go thru this. Antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication helps get him thru flare ups, But his pediatrician often will not prescribe. It is so very sad when you know what he needs and can’t get it.

The doctors have failed my son repeatedly, I had to figure all this out on my own. He’s better now!

There is such a need for this!

Please, please I beg you help us. We have two children diagnosed with pans the last five years and my second grade son was so severe that he had to be medically homebound for three years. He could not leave his room, let alone wear clothes or eat or take showers because his brain was so inflamed. We were blessed with learning about Dr. Latimer who removed his tonsils and adenoids and then we paid almost $25,000 out of pocket for an IVG for him which brought us our child back. He’s only back 70% and we have been paying about $10,000 a year for the last five years in treatment for him alone. We also have an 18-year-old daughter who is diagnosed at 13 but has become so severe that now she is in crisis. Please, please help us. We have seen pediatricians from the force surrounding states and none will help us Monitor or children’s conditions. We are paying over $300 a month for a concierge service just to have access to a neurologist and pediatrician to help us manage these conditions. Please help us!

I lost my daughter 3 mo the ago to the psychosis caused by the brain inflammation. She needed to be in a hospital, but they only wanted to send her to a psychiatric hospital. They almost killed her in there twice. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to save her. Now she is Noone forever. What a horrible nation we live in that doctors know less about PANDAS than parents do. Shame on the medical community!!!
