Free Speech!

It is shameful that a young academic who made a sound and well-reasoned argument is being vilified like that because of the political unpopularity of the argument and not its quality. Academic suppression of critical thinking at its worst.

Very disappointed that, rather than supporting a young academic for a good paper that followed the conventions of her field, you threw her under a bus for what amounted to the feelings, and nothing more, of others.

We need to be able to listen to the speech we hate so we can clarify and make better our own understanding. We need to be free to argue for the ideas we believe to be right.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of freedom itself. Critical thinking is essential to education. Both must be protected.

The silencing of women must stop. If one disagrees with someone else's opinion, the proper reaction is to make one's argument better, not to protest the right of someone else to express theirs.

Those of us who cannot articulate our position depend on the freedom of speech afforded to others to do so for us. Please retain our freedom of speech.

Let 'contamination' prevail. Without it, our successive generations become increasingly retarded.

I didn't think arts academics and their administrators could get any more cowardly than they were some 30 odd years ago when I was acquiring my degrees. I was wrong.

Please engage the central topic and address discrepancies with a coherent argument. Whatever the subject matter, shout-downs hurt everyone.

Identity Politics creates an impossible situation for any academic to provide an unbiased, fact based education. It is detrimental to societal cohesion and extremely harmful to the mental health and well being of any exposed to its edicts.
