Swearing an oath to a monarch is an outdated thing which should be assigned to history where ever it has been insisted on.

We should also campaign for the same in the Isle of Man

Banish this feudal pomp. 'Ein calon gan estron wr, ein coron gan goncwerwr'

Having a choice makes an oath meaningful. This is helpful both to those who choose to use it and those who choose to remain with the current form.

Swearing fealty or allegiance to a foreign monarch or power is abhorrent and is nothing less than Treason. Let all true Republicans previously take their own notarised oath to this effect so their conscience be clear. All others who insist on maintaining British control over the Welsh Republic must be deemed complicit in Treason and that be a matter for their own consciences.Shame on them. This petition may move some steps closer to providing an option to put our patriots in a position where there is an option.

I consider it very relevant to sign an oath to the people of wales if a welsh assembly member instead of the queen as she remains devorced from political decision anyway so whats the point in signing an oath to her!

Our elected representatives should be answerable to us, the people who elect and pay them, and not to some unelected monarch.
