First responders need protection and training. FFS give them the equipment they need.

with in reason any one has the right to refuse unsafe work especially if the right ppe is not provided and as sad as it is in the world today a ballistic vest for any first responded should be required ppe

I live in Washington and work in Oregon and think thins is a good idea. keep medics as safe as you can.

As an EMT working in a large city with a high violent crime rate, I completely understand the desire for armor. Employers shouldn't be asking EMS providers to put themselves in harm's way, then denying them the PPE needed for responders to provide care effectively and safely.

Our medical professionals out there in the field need to be protected just as much as any Policeman or woman. They need the protection to help others and can’t do that with their lives in danger.
