Red vests with a caduceus, cross, company, or agency logo would prevent perception of EMS as law enforcement.

Being a first aider I know how hard the job can be. I cannot imagine how hard it can be while your own safety is on the line.
Also at our place we wear similar cloths but they are dark green and have first aider highlighted across it. I see no issues as long as it is clear on your uniform what your job is and why you are there

I am a paramedic who works for a service that provides stab vests. This isn't a big ask. It's a further step to provide safety to your employees in a job that is unpredictable.

If the body armor is Hi-Vis, there may be less confusing first responders with police.

Ems needs all the protection they cab get, especially with people attacking non law enforcement first responders more often.

This absolutely needs to happen. As a law enforcement officer, I daily see how a seemingly controlled situation can easily turn bad, even when paramedics are on scene. There's no reason that paramedics should have any less protection than we LEOs.

I feel like a plus + sign would more identifiable and easily recognizable than EMS.

A first responders job is to serve and protect not worrying about taking a bullet or knife to the gut.

Why not protect the medics even more.
