Dear Madam/Sir:
I hope this letter finds you and your family well at this difficult time.
First, my family and I would like to thank the teachers of Amity for their hard work in both launching and administering the online tutoring system. Although a long way from the education my child would receive under normal circumstances, we appreciate the effort.
However, we have been disheartened and very disappointed with the school’s approach to invoicing for the final term of the year. Specifically, we did not appreciate the tone of the letter received the other day, instructing us to pay up quickly and in full, with absolutely no recognition of the severity of the situation for families and businesses alike.
We are also struggling to understand why we should be paying full fees when we are simply not getting the service we are paying for. FS is about learning through play and socializing, neither of which Amity can provide at this time. Amity does not provide facilities, materials for arts and crafts, or face-to-face video interaction with the teachers or TAs. Parents are now expected to educate their children, provide arts and craft materials, and hire child care when they have work commitments. Amity in Abu Dhabi is asking the parents to bear all of these additional costs on their own. This is in stark contrast to Amity in Dubai which is offering a 20% discount to FS parents, and other top rated schools in Abu Dhabi which are offering to share this burden through discounted term 3 prices.
If Amity values its long-term relationship with FS parents, we ask you to reconsider your position and provide a discount for term 3. We appreciate the need to support the school but paying full price is unreasonable. If you do not reconsider, I fear FS parents will be forced to take more radical action in the new school year.

In the situation when many of us experiencing pay cuts or unpaid leaves it is only reasonable to offer a discount on the tuitions. The pressure on the parents is beyond any imagination. The teachers are doing a great job but the discount should come as a good gesture from school itself.
I agree, Amity must be saving some cost in the current situation: there is reduction in staff, reduction in maintenance, reduction in security, reduction in in utility bill. There must be some recognition in the situation that parents are in
I have other children as well, teaching them together and I have a 2 year old girl. It really difficult to pay fully amount
Yes, we would like to petition for a reduction of fees for Amity. My husband suffered a 50 percent off reduction on his salary.
I would like to obtain term 3 discount and part of term 2 fees to be transferred to term 3 because I lost my job.
Learning at home for 3 or 4 years old is definitely not like at school.

All schools are offering a discount on term 3 fees, why Amity AD cannot? Most of us are getting a reduced income from April onwards.
