I started riding at 4. The government should mind their own business they have not right to tell me what my children can or can't ride because of its size. There are many 14-16 year olds who could not fit on a 90cc ATV. Common sense not government law should be in play. Time and time again the government is passing laws with little to no knowledge on the topic and only including certain people in the development of said law and not the entire community. A few parents and childrens ignorance should not dictate and outlaw an activity enjoyed by many. In one of their slideshows found online they are sayign any product that when used as directed that can cause injury should not be sold. Well when you use a car as directed you can still get hurt or die and they aren't outlawed. Typical Mass. casting broad law on all because of a few accidents.
before anybidy has the authority to sign a bill passing a law of this nature, should for one, be educated about the topic and the machine. 2. maybe look out side your little box and see how many lives and familys your affecting. lets rethink this foolish law before more of our kids get hurt riding machines not designed for them!

I strongly think it needs to be changed because my little cousins 10 years old and he's been riding atvs since he was 8. He rides them with my older cousin Cj (his father) who's been doing it for years. My little cousin Is really good at riding so I think it should be changed.

What happened to Sean is tragic but not all riders/ parents are so irresponsible. Riding atv's is what gets my children outside and away from the video games. I refuse to teach my children to live in fear of what might happen. Instead, i teach about safety and wearing the proper gear etc. i sincerely hope the ban is amended as there are SO many children in Mass. Who love to ride and deserve the freedom to do so!

my son has been riding since he was 4 on an age appropriate machine, supervised , and with every price of safety equipment available. He's now 9 and can no longer ride his quad? This bill needs to be amended now. To punish everyone because of the carelessness of a few is wrong.

The law has to be amended. Not all kids / young adults are the same. My son has been riding for practically his whole life. Just as we ran beside him teaching him to ride his bicycle with no training wheels, we did the same with his PW 50 motorcycle. Accidents happen, you can't punish all kids / young adults because of Sean's tragic accident. My son's passion for riding is something our family enjoys! From working on them, testing out riding, it's family quality time we love! We've met so many awesome families that share same passion and with law not being amended ruins all of it! Kids and parents need to know rules with anything but I would not tell your child he can or can't xx size ATV / Motocycle because each cid /young adult is unique. The parents that are teaching there kids to and safety should not be grouped under a law that was created without adult supervision.
