the government don't have the right to parent our children and tells us how we spend our free time. let the kids ride.

I can see the danger that one of these machines can do however it is wrong for the government to be able to dictate what we as parents allow our children to do as long as the children are beng supervised. We teach our children how to respect the machine. Cars also kill young innocent victims does this mean that children under 14 should be banned from vehicles. .. No, cause that is ridiculous and would infringe on peoples lifestyles...well news flash, THIS also infringes on some people's lifestyles and is absurd.

My 3 children all started riding at the age of 5. They all learned on the same 50cc quad which we all have. This sport is a HUGE part of our lives. We need to ban together to change what I feel has wrongfully dictated what we can and can't do with or children!

I have been helping run racing events for 25 years. It's a family sport. I myself used to race and my grandson has raced since he was four. We travel all over the country as a family. We know Where out kids are, we are having fun not out doing drugs and getting in trouble. You can get killed playing football as one of my friends did. Time to change this law!

it should be based on child size, weight and knowledge of the machine that determines how many cc's.

this law definitely needs to be amended. even if just a age to cc change under 10 should at the very least be able to ride!
