Animal cruelty should be a felony. Individuals who torture or abuse animals will eventually do the same to human beings. Prosecute as a felony!

Mississippi is known for the absolute worst protection of animals. We need to focus on the animals and not the pockets of money hungry companies like Farm Bureau, who lobby against stronger law against animal cruelty.

It is my opinion that the people who are cruel to animals are the same people that abuse children & women or anyone that can't defend themselves. They are a menace to society. It is our duty to protect animals and those that can't defend themselves.

I demand we get better laws for dog and cat abuse. I want to see the evil abusers get real punishment, something they will remember the next time the thought enters their mind to abuse an animal

We must also press for a statewide leash law (for dogs AND cats), a vaccination law, and a spay & neuter law. Some animal abuse stems for wanting to get rid of a nuisance.
