The Peruvian Government must cease its violent repression of Indigenous Peoples who are standing up for their rights in the Peruvian Amazon.
We demand that these Peoples be treated with respect and dignity and that repressive laws that allow oil, mining, logging, and agricultural companies to enter on Indigenous lands and which undermine Indigenous Rights be repealed.
The Peruvian government has authorized the armed forces to crack down on peaceful protests in the whole Amazon region. Protesters have been beaten, jailed, and one person was beaten to death. Furthermore, there are criminal charges of treason and sedition laid against the leaders of Peru's Indigenous organizations.
We call for justice and safety for all the people under attack. We request that all Canadian and US mining companies be made accountable and withdraw participation in a country that will harm Peoples and their lands. We insist that Indigenous Peoples in the Peruvian Amazon be allowed to live in healthy environments and have full determination on development in their homelands.
The momentum is undeniable now. Seeing this grow proves that the world is finally paying attention to what is happening in the Amazon.

Reprehensible disregard for the rainforest peoples and the fact that they have not come into contact with those outside their tribal communities and are susceptible to disease they have no immunity for. This is a human rights violation. Please stop this slow, sure genocide.

The indigenous peoples of Peru, like other peoples around the world, have an inherent GOD-given right to be treated as full-fledged and equal humans, and should have the rights to live freely, happily, and contently on their ancestral lands.

We will peacefully strive our hardest to speak out against injustices against indigenous peoples, irrespective of what our detractors say, do, or think.
