I prefer not to be a laughing stock. This is truly an embarrassing situation. I keep waiting for the punch line. Since it seems real, I support the petition to choose some actual names that are actually representative of Amarillo. Our softball girls honestly have more fierce and still quirky names than this!

West Texas Hitters or Texas Twisters are baseball type names. Not these joke of names we’ve been presented with.

He says the team names are supposed to be goofy/funny. Other team names in the AA Texas League.

Just saw the interview with the Manager of Baseball Operations and he didn't seem to have a problem with the names. Maybe the real problemis the people who narrowed the names down to these top five. Good way to make Amarillo a laughing stock. What a bunch of idiots!

Really... Come on... I mean... Seriously "Sod Poddles" exactly how / where does that work? These are the final choices out 3,000?
We Need a name we can be proud of, these 5 are NOT something I would ever be proud of repeating or cheering for. I'm extremely disappointed!

These names are ridiculous! The “boot scooters” ?? How embarrassing! How about the Stampede or the Rednecks? The “Sod Poodles” sounds like a bunch of drunk softball players made these names!
