No! No no no no! I would be SO embarrassed to go to a game in a beautiful new stadium & hear any one of these names announced over the speaker as the Amarillo baseball team. Plus the players themselves would probably be too embarrassed to come out of the dugout! They may even change their minds about coming to Amarillo with names like those. Pathetic!

These are terrible names - I’m a pioneer and I don’t know what a sod poodle is. Why not Prarie Dogs? Better yet - Amarillo Tumbleweeds! I’m a huge MiLB logo/name fan and we have to get this right!!

Instead of "Sod Poodles" why not just "Prairie Dogs"? I know all of nobody who would have a problem with that.
Or just go back to "Armadillos." I know copyright won't let us shorten it to "Dillas" but they can't copyright an animal. "Amarillo Armadillos" still has a nice ring to it. It's both alliterated and it rhymes. It's catchy.
