I'm kind of enjoying how much everyone dislikes these names as much as I do. I'm not much of a sports fan, but these names really enforce the stereotype that everyone rides their horses to school and go to rodeos for fun. That doesn't completely represent everyone in Amarillo at all.

Surely there are alotbetter ideas for team names. Hi Plains Drifters ( you could play eirie music from Clint Eastwood movies) Amarillo Diamondbacks, Amarillo White, Gold, or Yellow Sox, Amarillo A’s, Whirl Wind’s or Dirt Devils, Heard Bomb City Blasters, surely there are alot of better idea’s out there.

There had to be better team names that reflected the Amarillo area, and provide a family friendly name. Most of the names chosen will make Amarillo the laughing stock of the Texas Panhandle.
Please allow our town to have some dignity and respect.

As someone who has earned 2 separate art degrees, these names are a joke, and look as if a 5 year old thought them up. Surely for a professional baseball team we can do better. You wouldn't expect to see the Texas Rangers on the same ticket as a team named "jerky"... Seriously are in high school, because im surprisef their were phalic referenced names in that group given how much of a joke those names ARE! Amarillo, get it together!
