Why embarrase the area with a joke mascot. It doesn't have to be Amarillo anything...why not Panhandle something or West TX something or Top of Tx something?? Here are a few suggestions. Amarillo Antelope, Panhandle Arsenal, Panhandle Pride, Texas Tornadoes,Texas Nader's, Texas Tribidours, Top O TX, Pan Texans, Amarillo Panhandlets..... Amarillo Texans and use Lubbock famed Maine's Brother Band Song "Amarillo Highway" as Your theme song.......Sod Puppies....really???? C'mon

Stop being insulting & disrepectful to the people of Amarillo & the Panhandle. ‘fun’ names are one thing, & yes, part of MiLB, but you still HAVE to respect the city you’re Expecting to support you. (Just ask the owners who changed the name in the Quad Cities about 10 years ago- total FAILURE!)

We need to come up with a name that will represent Amarillo, Texas well. The names currently recommended are not only horrible but embarrassing. We can do much better.
