These names are nothing short of embarrassing and I won’t be caught dead purchasing tickets, shirts or any other type of memorabilia with any of these names on it. We are proud Texans that love where we live, who we are and what we stand for. You want to poke fun at us by selecting one of these names, take your team and go back to yankee land!

I cannot imagine there could have been such stupid names from people in Amarillo and the Panhandle area! Certainly we can do much better and not risk people not attending this Flagship Downtown Project!

Please let common sense prevail. These names are not ‘ fun or lighthearted’ . They are embarrassing. Please reconsider and look at other options.

These choices are embarrassing and will be the source of ridicule. Please consider something more classy and representative of this great area like the Stampede or Vaqueros...even the Prarie Dogs would be light years better.

I get that this is supposed to be fun and relevant to the area, but myself and several others who have grown up around here had absolutely no clue what a sod poodle was. I possibly would have reconsidered voting yes to the ballpark if I’d known this was goin to be the name. Come on Amarillo!

These names are an embarrassment. Anything would be better .. Texas Twisters, Jack Rabbits, Amarillo Aces... anything would better. Who voted on those names? Certainly not the majority.

These names really disappointed me, even with 0 expectations. This is indicative of the disconnect between the community and its "leaders". We can do better.

Those 5 names stink to put it lightly. I understand the off the wall names for minor league but dang. Sure there were better names in that list. How about the people vote on line then take the top 5 to a final vote.
