Amador's gym can wait no longer!

This school is very old and I'm sure all the buildings need a facelift, but the gym is unacceptable. Please fix.

Fix the gym already. Our kids deserve better. It is embarrassing compared to other schools in the area.

I am a student at Amador Valley and I play JV boys volleyball. We are in there all the time and it gets really hot and we would really like a air conditioned gym to practice in.

I support fixing the gym. It is embarrassing that we have such a great academic school with excellent team spirit and yet our buildings are falling apart. The music building also is in great need of repair.

I support fixing up the gym.

Our poor school is by far the saddest, most pathetic looking school in the tri-valley area, in fact probably one of the worst in the entire bay area.

This gym is in terrible condition and desperately requires an upgrade. However, it isn't the only facility needing an upgrade(the small gym, bathrooms, classrooms, etc.) This school has lost all athletic funding. A couple of years ago, the tennis courts had to be repaved so an old coach had to pay for them.

I signed up to help the Boosters committee on the Large Gym task force come up with solutions and got a lot of “we can’t do that” and “there is no money available” from the district. I did review the extensive list of code and accessibility violations in addition to being an embarrassment to the community and got political speak, very sad!! The gym, as well as many other parts of AVHS, badly need an upgrade! Its embarrassing when other schools visit and see the condition of our school.

My son is a senior and played basketball for four years at Amador. It is time to get a new gym!! The bathrooms and everything is so bad.

I graduated from Amador in 1989 and it Lois like nothing has been done since then. Please fix up our gym. It is embarrassing.

Not only is the gym in terrible shape, but the rest of the facilities are falling apart. The locker room was painted by a coach, the field doesn't have any running water for players, and the stands are unsafe. Bring funding back for athletics.

Possibly the one of the worst gyms in the East Bay. There are older gyms in much better condition.

Our gym has been an embarrassment for quite some time. My daughter used to play basketball for Amador and they had to stop, in the middle of a girls JV game, to duck tape part of the backboard up so the game could continue. The bathrooms are disgusting as well.

The state of the gym is demoralizing to our student athletes, and sends a message to the whole student body that our school is not worthy of care and upkeep. We can do so much better, PUSD. Please resolve to make these repairs happen by the end of 2019-20. It's beyond overdue.
