We, at The Amends Project, have noticed a very consistent message popping up among alumni:
1. I am devastated by how the Lawrence Academy administration has handled this situation - then and now.
2. I will not be giving any money in donations for the foreseeable future - or until they can make this right.
3. (optional/variable) I cannot even imagine sending my own kids there / I have warned friends with young children to stay away from Lawrence Academy.
We all want to see the school do better. We want to encourage true, lasting positive change. We stand in support of The Amends Project, for full resolution and for the protection of all kids to come.

Lawrence Academy must be held accountable for allowing a known sexual predator to remain employed on campus for years after documented issues of his abuse. I stand with every other former student who feels disgusted and betrayed by LA but most importantly, I stand with Vanessa. Her bravery and tenacity are awe inspiring, and I’m with her until the end. I was aware of this and I thought that adults were taking care of it and it saddens me to know that that was never the case.
