The petition came about after numerous people on various fan forums posted about similar issues. I shall very briefly run through various issues that are of concern to the community at the present time.
The first major concern covers theming of rides, attractions and areas at the park. There is a general feeling that after Hex, a ride which encapsulates the magic of Alton Towers in a fantastic, multi-sensory experience, in 2000, that the park has not constructed a new ride with the depth and flair in theming and image. The feedback regarding our concerns about ride theming has been extensive and insightful. It is clear that many others share the desire for a return to the immersive quality found in earlier attractions. I am currently compiling your testimonials to present a comprehensive case to the park management.

Needs more immersion. Rides are fine but the areas around them feel so empty and boring compared to the 90s.

hex is still the best thing there and that was ages ago. why did they stop trying with the stories? miss the old feeling of the park so much.

we go every year but it definitely lost its spark. hex and the curse still have more character than all the new stuff combined.
