Final supporters
There's nothing quite like the community spirit and desire to mobilize that we have right here in Beautiful Altadena. As many are aware, the Walmart on Lincoln is now closed leaving in its wake another empty building rife for more blight. Many have tried (and failed) to bring a Trader Joe's to the area but the reality is, we're too close to their other stores and they've made it clear that's not going to happen. And while many of us love and will continue to support our local Arroyo Food Coop, the rent of this building is too high for them to be a viable option there.
Let's put our voices together and let Whole Foods know our community is in need of and could support a 365 store and we even have the perfect building ready and waiting for them to move right in.
In case you aren't familiar, the new Whole Foods 365 has a model very similar to Trader Joe's featuring quick, grab and go, affordable (yes, affordable!) healthy food, and they are specifically looking for underserved communities with demographics very similar to ours to test market this new concept. While we're not on their list of first round locations, there's at least a possibility of getting their interest and generating some real movement.

The volume of support has reached a level where we can now initiate direct outreach to regional commercial development coordinators. I am currently assembling a formal proposal package that highlights our community demographic data and the specific footprint of the vacant Lincoln facility for their review.

As the mother of a family of 4, I would shop at a nearby Whole Foods 365 at least once a week -- probably twice! I really hope this happens. It would become our main go-to grocery store!
We'd love to have you here! There is a real need for healthy, affordable, grab and go options--with JPL so close and many people coming here to hit one of our fantastic trails!
As a member of the Altadena Chamber Board Of Directors I am signing this petition and believe it would be a great addition to the growing Altadena community.
My husband and I moved to Altadena about 5-years ago and have seen great development. Whole Foods 365 would be a great addition and much frequented. We often head out to Pasadena and La Canada to shop, with Whole Foods 365 we could contribute to our own community.
Altadena needs access to affordable, organic food. We are a diverse community, both ethnically and economically, and this could benefit everyone. I think a 365 would flourish here.
We need you here-the community would welcome you with open arms (and wallets!)

This is a very "foodie" area. People want more and better options. There is a very successful all organic Farmer's Market once a week just up the street from this location. "If you build it, they will come."
