To the Honorable Judge Saylor, We write to you in behalf of Mr. Samir Al-Monla. Mr. Al-Monla has been a member of the Worcester community for decades. During this time he has proven to be a man of honor and compassion. He chose to work with the social services department in order to help individuals in need--a decision that truly exemplifies the caring nature of Mr. Al-Monla. Whether volunteering to help a person in need, or lending an ear to support a fellow human being, Mr. Al-Monla was always there. When he was asked to help teach an art class to young students, he gave up his own time and money to be there for the children without asking for a dime in compensation. He supplied the materials, know-how and dedication to the children, who eagerly awaited his weekly lessons.
