Hello! This petition is hopefully going to help convince our Vice Principals and Principals to change the time in which they allow students to access the buildings before school. Previously the stated time of the front doors opening is at 7:20, when the first bell rings. The goal for this petition is to allow students to enter the foyer at 7:05, allowing them to avoid harsh winter conditions.

The administration remains silent despite the freezing temperatures outside. I am exhausted by the constant bureaucratic delays but we have to keep pushing until they see the reality of students waiting in the cold.

Seeing this gain traction reminds me that waiting in the cold is not just a personal frustration. I am exhausted by the pushback but seeing so many of you join this effort keeps me moving forward.

It’s cold outside and letting us in early like the middle school would be greatly appreciated by everyone who comes in early.
Whoever these "administrators" are should get a day where they stand out there for 20 minutes in teen degree temps. Maybe that's what they need to have common sense
I think it's absolutely ludicrous that you make these kids stand outside in all sorts of bad weather until 7:20 when the bell rings
When it’s 19° the students should not be forced to wait outside. I would think we could bend the rules a little during the harsh winter months!
The students should have access to the building 30 minutes before the start of homeroom. I can not believe a petition is needed for this!

It is ridiculous that students have to wait outside of their school to go in. Some parents can't get their kids to school on time so they may need to get there a little early. At least during the winter months, it should be changed. Hopefully no students get frostbite and lose a limb due to this poor decision making.
