Recently Darts Ontario imposed a rule banning youth from playing/attending ranked tournaments in Ontario.
We the undersigned request that the NDFC intervene and remove the age restriction on ranked tournaments in Ontario currently placed by Darts Ontario.

We allow youth in BC to play most but not all ranked shoots dependant upon the venue, an outright ban seems not very well thought out. Especially with youth numbers in Ontario. What are the adults afraid of???
I started playing when I was 9, i was a decent youth player, then I started playing in ranked tournaments. The next provincial's that came around, i made the team. I would be where I am if I didn't start playing these tournaments. This rule is ridiculous and needs to be overturned!
Kids should be allowed to play I'm the tournaments as long as they are mature enough to to not run around and as long as they are supervised. My kids have played in adult ranked tournaments for years and have the respect of the adult players.
Youth are the future of darts. I believe they can only get better by playing with and against the adults. Many of Alberta youth players are now winning tournaments today because they were allowed to participate in our tournaments.
My youngest daughter joined youth darts 2 years ago, if not allowed in venue nor allowed to play then how is she going to be able to improve just playing against other youths. She enjoys watching the pros of this sport play. Really unfair to her and all youth participants.
Not to allow our future adult players "todays youth" play in ranked events, puts Ontario way behind the curve VS the rest of the world.
Let the Youth play. It is a game of skills, assists youth to concentrate etc. Remove the ban in Ontario.

I too was a youth and it's because of playing against the adults and ranking shoots that I had made it as far as I did back in my youth days. If adults are the best why can't the youth play against them? In reality they are our future Dart players.
