We, the undersigned, call on The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) to expand the field size for Junior and Senior divisions at Pokémon International Championships. Pokémon’s core audience has always been children, yet current field size limitations significantly restrict their opportunities to participate in these prestigious events, often at a 1 to 10 ratio to adults. By increasing the field size, TPCi can create a more inclusive, equitable environment that supports the development and enjoyment of the game among its youngest fans. Let’s ensure Pokémon remains a welcoming space where kids can grow, learn, and compete!

I spent the entire morning reading through everyone's stories about kids getting waitlisted and my heart just sinks because these are the players who actually carry the game forward for the next decade. There is a lot going on behind the scenes with some organizers who notice the trend too but keep it quiet for now (which is frustrating) so I am just going to keep pushing until someone at the top actually acknowledges the imbalance.

Seeing this much energy behind the petition is honestly surreal because I just kept thinking about those kids who miss out on spots every single time. It feels like the community is finally saying out loud what we have been whispering at events for way too long now, and it is honestly wild to see this momentum building up so fast.

My three boys love Pokemon and TCG plays a big part in our lives. Two of my boys achieved priority booking invitations, and one did not (senior). I missed out on buying a ticket for him. I am wanting to travel from Australia all the way to London for EUIC and for all of my boys to feel included by this great community.

It’s not good when parents sign up 1 kid, but then it sells out and they aren’t able to sign up the sibling! That’s so hard for the family!

There were NEW local seniors that missed out playing due to the cap. We are trying to build the up and coming Pokemon community. Having caps at large scale events inhibits this

It is heartbreaking that world's is so tough to get into as it is this year. Then it is almost impossible to get a seat at an international unless you are already well on your way or already have your invite and got special registration. Please let the kids play! This is a kids game after all. Without the seniors where will your masters come from? If it is about money. Then charge the seniors the same as the masters and let them fill the seats!

registering kids shouldn’t be like buying concert tickets to Taylor Swift. it adds frustration and takes some love at the game right out.

The numbers for Jr/Sr slots for ICs and Regionals has been in the same range since my son was in those age divisions pre COVID. We've been in the community since 2013

I teach kids how to play pokemon. They deserve equal spots for competitions.
