Please allow driving schools to print learning permits or extend DOL learners permitting to an online possibility for individuals signed up and training with a legitimate Driving School. It’s impossible to get an appointment with a DOL office at this time.

There is a backlog of 15 year olds that have had driving school and are unable to practice.

My daughter has completed the online/classroom portion, but is unable to get a permit to practice driving. She apparently has to finish everything by Oct 4, but if she can't actually practice driving, I'm not sure how that's supposed to happen.

Please open up. We have a senior in high school that will need to get his license before he goes off to college. Please figure out a way to accommodate this process - It is a huge dependency and should not longer be a blocker to obtaining services.

My son is signed up for driver's ed and has completed as much as he can for his instruction permit online. We just need 5-10 minutes in a DOL office to make it official so he can do the driving portion of his learning with his instructor. When checking online at the WA DOL website many times, every single office listed in the entire state is not accepting appointments through the rest of the calendar year. How is that supposed to work? I was honestly preparing to take a full day off from work and spend money to drive 7+ hours all to spend 10 minutes in a DOL office, which is total insanity. It's a complete joke and waste of the taxpayer's time and money. Now we can't even do that if we wanted to anyway. I have no idea what will happen for my son's class, but I do know that he's missing out on time to practice driving during the summer. It's unacceptable. Please fix this!

This is a great time to be practicing but he needs a permit. We’ve signed up for drivers ed, but will I lose $500 if he can’t get his permit????

They need to figure something out, especially with schools being on limited schedules with even more limited busing options in the fall!

My daughter has started her online driving training but she wants to get on the road. I've looked everywhere and everyday for a time to get a permit and it is non existence.

This is a no brainer and should be approved for the safety of all of us. This is one of those few times where the thing that’s being waived provides absolutely no additional safety yet making all of us go in to get the learners permit will expose To danger not only our entire family but all the workers to all of us as well.

It’s impossible to schedule an in person appointment via the Website. The phone que is too full to even be put on hold.

Governor, immediately issue the executive order allowing the issuance of temporary driver's permits to new drivers. The needless delay is causing a large back-up, delaying the ability for new drivers to gain valuable experience, and limiting the future mobility of students and young adults who will later be seeking employment or travelling to and from school. This situation requires leadership, something that you've reserved for only those causes important to you. Get out from in front of the camera and start conducting some other business that is important to you're constituents and is also negatively impacting their daily lives and ability to progress.

I’ve been trying to get my permit since March because that’s when I started drivers Ed and it is now July and I can’t do any drives until I get it! I’ve been waiting too long!!
