I would love this petition to be approved because first off this could be used in the future so people don't have to wait in lines and due to Covid-19 it would be very helpful for those who are in driving courses and want to get a licence on a normal time.

It seems that DOL is playing some kind of game when it comes to permits. There staff was off for months with pay. Now that they are coming back there are going to be unpaid furloughs. Is this any way to run an important state agency?

You need to allow people to get their learners permits while maintaining their safety! With the numbers of COVID 19 going up again, this will never happen if applicants can’t test online. They need to begin practice driving and not wait any longer!

I see no down side to allowing learners permits to be obtained online. There are seemingly insufficient appointments available to students beginning summer driver’s ed programs, and the offices issuing permits are inconvenient for Seattle residents.

I am a driving school owner in a rural area. The 3 LSOs in our area are not slated to be the first to open and we have more than 500 students who are needing the drives. Issuing non-photo permits makes sense at this point.

With traffic volume low, now is the perfect time to teach my son to drive. I am not sure why there is a need to get instructional permit in person? You can require us to come in in-person to get his full license in a few months when there is more capacity at DOL offices
