My daughter is enrolled in driving school on line, and then in the car. I chose the summer for this so she wouldn't be bogged down with school. Please allow the instructional permits to happen entirely online. Thank you.

Due to Covid 19 this would really help my daughter maintain a sense of normalcy. So many rights of passage have been denied to our youth.

My son has been waiting so long to get his permit. This is an important step for him to become independent. He hoped to get it one June first but it was delayed and he is still waiting. Please allow permits to be issued on line.

During these times, it would be great if the WA DOL permitted instructional permits to happen entirely online to ensure my daughter get the necessary training, both in the classroom and actual driving time.

Students with large gaps between online driving lessons and real drives face a lot of education decay. They need to practice the skills they learned while it is still fresh to help cement the knowledge into their brain. They need practice, and to practice they need a permit! Please allow temporary online issued non-photo permits while COVID is an issue.

This has been stalled long enough. As of now, we do have an appointment- a month from now, 2.5 hrs away.

On line issuance of non-photo instruction permits would allow driver ed students to complete the driver education course the way the course was designed and approved by DOL. (lean a concept/practice a concept best practice for retaining driving knowledge) As it stands all the classroom and then drives to follow ???? Who knows when/how long after class is complete. Non photo permits are not idenity documents!
