Cairo bar & Oasis Cafe have been part of the community for many years. It’s been an escape for artists, poets, musicians and many other talented individuals. By shutting their doors, you take away a very vital community that encouraged individualism, and freedom to express oneself without criticism. Please reconsider your damage, and reverse what has been done. Thank you!

Cairo is an iconic and memorable institution pertinent to West Chicago and the surrounding area as a safe and healthy place for the community as it has been for years. The family owned business is a staple to the Chicagoland area and a place hundreds of people call home.

Cairo Ale House is a mainstay of local music and culture for years, they are repeatedly one of the most well run and best venues in the suburbs. Killing this business off would be a shame to West Chicago and the area as a whole. A vibrant arts and musical culture does not happen in a vacuum

Good people own this, and it is a shame that it is being shut down. My adult kids go for karaoke and I never have to worry about the area or safety. The family that owns it is very involved with making sure everyone feels welcome and included.

I have lived in west Chicago my entire life, I have never seen any issues with this bar. I understand there is the elderly homes behind the bar but never have I heard any issues with this place. We should be allowing any business to stay open through these hard times go issue warrants for those who truly deserve to be served.

Cairo has been a staple in our community since I can remember. They help local artist of all kinds and host events that make everyone feel welcome and that you are always among friends. This type of connection is always needed, especially nowadays. Keep Cairo thriving.
