This is honestly the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Cairo Ale House has been one of my favorite places ever since the first time I stepped in the. As a military service member, it is the one place I look forward to going to see friends on the rare occasions I actually get to come home. The owners and the regulars there are some of the nicest and most fun people I’ve ever met and I can’t believe that the city would rip such a wonderful place from its people over a noise complaint. They have truly done their city a disservice and obviously aren’t being there for their people.

Venues closed and their staff lost their jobs/income across the world because of covid. Cairo managed to stay alive, please allow Cairo to remain open

I have been an attendee for many years at this venue as well as performed here! They are a great and loving venue and community. Based on the videos and how the Decibel tests were performed and their proximity to a major roadway, they should be allowed to be grandfathered in, or at least stay open with a slightly reduced volume. Or allowed to place other preventative measures. They are respectful and took the harsh news quite well and deserve some empathy after losing their livelihood for a year.

This venue is a staple for the live music scene in illinois. People come from states over to enjoy this venue. Shutting down this venue would only hurt the income and value of all of west Chicago. Please let this venue operate as it always has.

Cairo has been a local family owned business for over 16 years. It is a staple of our community. Cairo is the one of the most loved establishments in West Chicago and it is owned and operated by one of the most loved families in West Chicago.

I believe that live music is huge for the development of kids and adults alike and keeping them from finding other things that could be less than favorable for their lives
