I have had backyard chickens for the last seven years. We live just outside of the Rockford city limits. The fact that they won’t allow chickens is one of the reasons that has kept us from buying a home inside the city limits.

I have kept chickens in the past. They are delightful to keep. Make the rules simple and offer a chicken keeping course.
