Coming from a family that has had four generations serve on the Newton Fire Department it is quite sad to hear about the order from the city to remove a flag with such significant meaning to all firefighters and their families.

It is sad that a flag honoring the brave who gave their lives trying to save others bothers someone enough to have it taken down.

Never forget world war II people just allowed wrong to happen, this is clearly not right, fix it before its to late! In times like these were our press flexes the right of free press to lie and support agendas lets not as public officials blend to ill informed pressures of the few and act as though we do not know right form wrong. It is 2020 and we do know the difference so let air on the side of whats right not what pleases the few! Christopher Columbus was not a tyrant, he was a man who a huge amount of integrity given the times in which he lived, just because other part of or country have agreed to demonize him does not make it right and here in Massachusetts we should know better. Right is still right and this will always be the case!!!!

If someone is offended by an American flag, American holiday, pledge of allegiance, American tradition, whatever... it’s their problem. They can suck it up or leave. If I’m too offensive, I don’t care. I will not apologize

We should always honor and respect the ones that put their lives on the line to serve and protect us . Shame on you Major Ruth Ann Fuller . What you did to appease One was a sign of disrespect for many .
