I support the the Firefighters Memorial flag to be returned to its proper home at Station 4. As a retired City employee, I am upset that you would do this to your people. Please reconsider your position on this vital project as it also reflects on who we are as a united city.

This has got to stop. God bless the firefighters that gave their lives protecting us. We should give thanks and remember them everyday. That flag is deserved and should be honored. Shame on anyone that says otherwise.

Absolute madness that the mayor had this flag removed. It’s not offensive by any means. Yet another example of why I’m truly embarrassed to be a resident of Newton.

Please put back up! It should've never been taken down. Its a disgrace that it was removed. If not put back up, every flag in the City should be removed, except the American flag and POW flag.

How can this possibly be offensive? Seems to me a gratuitous act of spite by someone who wants to spoil life for others

As family of a former firefighter..hand it back up. One person alone in this should have no voice.

It takes a bigger person to take action and right their mistakes.

The thin red line flag as well as the thin blue line flag should be flown with as much honor and respect as the plain red, white and blue American flag.

How does one citizen have the right to have this action taken. Enough is enough of those citizen that call what they like offensive getting their way. What about our brave firefighters & policemen having some say on those kind of things happening to them. I'm sure if that citizen ever needs a firefighter they won't think that a flag honoring would be offensive I think the Mayor should look into these matters before taking action PLEASE RESPECT STATION 4 AND PUT THE FLAG BACK UP ASAP.
