We have classes until 5 so by closing the building at 6, that gives us one hour to study in the breakout room before having to relocate to the previous mods, which is being treated for mold. This is not what I envisioned when I came here to study. We have been waiting for this building for so long. Having to hear time after time about its delay. Were the students' interests ever in mind when decisions were made?

When the student body and faculty unite in opposition of a policy, it should be pretty clear there's a problem. Instead of threatening students with trespassing for studying on campus, the administration should step up and make changes. Give us the means to succeed instead of just dangling them in front of us.

As an alum who used the buildings late into the night, this is absurd. The building being opened late allowed us students to not only study, but study and review together, help each other out. They preached to us that this new building would be about making a community....This will hurt students in their ability to study and succeed in school.

Students should be given an area to study when they have to pay for the fees to maintain the building.

This new building has plenty of meeting and conference rooms on the 2nd floor. Yet, not only are we not allowed to study past 6pm, but every student study room on the lower floors can be reserved for various org activities and meetings. Overall, this means even less available study space. This petition should also include restricting reservations of STUDY rooms.

I hope that my peers at DKICP are able to access study spaces that allow them to be safe and productive as they study and plan events. Limiting access to utilize the space planned and built for their education is a detriment to their success and contributions to the community and the field of pharmacy.

Knowing how much tuition costs, the school must provide a safer and better environment to enable students to succeed. Not only does this hinder the quality of studying for students, but also undermines the ability to do so while not having any security whatsoever. This is absurd.

Having 24 hour access to study, hold school organization events, etc was a great and safe place to study and get things done. It was very convenient too especially when the library or other places were closed or too far. It was even easier to hold group discussions because everything was there and was centralized, where we could talk and get things done without time limit. At the library, the study rooms were limited and only had 2-3 hour time limit per person/session. Also, we were allowed to have food and drinks, which helped us stay awake when studying long nights while the library we weren’t allowed anything but bottled water while we studied. Every minute and opportunity we had to study counted for our success. Furthermore, when had multiple school organization events at the same time we were able to accommodate everyone by having 24 hour access, especially when we had public guests and speakers from nationals. Now with only one classroom that’s open 24 hours, it would be difficult to have multiple events. The new building is our home and like a home, it should be safe and easily accessible for everyone’s needs.

If the school expects students to study and succeed, the school needs to give students the opportunity to do so. It's unfortunate that students have to fight for the right to self-learn. The university is responsible for giving students the tools to succeed.
