A new pharmacy building should facilitate the students ability to learn and study better. But judging by the complaints of present students, the college needs to step up to meet the needs of these invested students in the program.

As an alumni, I know that having a place to study during the late hours played a vital role in my academic success. Please give students 24-hour access to the new building.

I wouldn’t survive without my late nights in the pharmacy building & printing at 2am. Much love, ULM COP.

Education and ensuring the success of its students, should be the main priority of an education institution like UH Hilo. It is absurd to have to beg for resources that would only benefit students and their commitment to higher learning. I’m sure from the insane tuition rates and huge 6-figure salaries you pay out to members of committees that have interests other than the students— a little money could be allotted to providing a 24 hour library with proper security. Please consider helping these young professionals, the future of Hawaii and leaders for the next generation have the tools they need to do the best they can.

Set these students up for success, not failure! They need their study areas available for longer hours.

As a current pharmacy student, it’s critically important to have a place to study late into the night. Install student badge access to the building to overcome safety concerns. This is simply not right, and isn’t realistic if you expect students to succeed.
