hair isn’t a distraction. if it is everyone should shave their heads. let us express ourselves in the limited ways we can!

Everyone should be allowed to wear their hair no matter how it looks what color or length it amazes me how y’all want to act like hair is such a distraction when during our teachers time they had bangs they had beads. They had all of the above, but now they want to change us not gonna happen.

As a public school system, Livingston parish should have no right to limit our 1st amendment right outside of a school setting. This includes any permanent body modifications (hair dye, haircuts, piercings, tattoos, etc) UNLESS the modification is obviously vulgar (for example, an inappropriate tattoo) Though i believe I speak for a majority of students attending Walker Highschool whenever i say that vibrant and unnatural hair colors are not obscene/vulgar in any way, Nor are they distracting any of us from our education.

this is a way for kids to express themselves and make new friends and the reason is because people who have colored hair get compliments on it and they can talk about the process. it’s good for kids to find non harmful ways to express themselves.

I agree with this i don't have my hair dyed personally but I feel like it doesn't cause any distractions and also allow people to express themselves, people shouldn't be conformed like that, it can cause depressions and other symptoms when people have 0 expression, its annoying that they are trying to take this away when other schools in both other states and this one allow colored hair is something so stupid to worry about when they should be worrying about the terrible education or budget.

We should be able to keep our hair as we want it to express ourselves, and it’s our hair and our right we don’t tell you what to do with your hair. Plus there’s not a big deal to this it’s literally just a color.

This is absolutely unnecessary to be making this rule. If a kid wants their hair to be a different color they should be allowed that.
