The city keeps ignoring our questions about these new restrictions but the silence only proves they know this policy is wrong. My days are spent meeting with advocates and trying to parse the legal language of these fines. I am drained by the bureaucratic games but I refuse to walk away while people are going hungry.

How can you fine someone for giving out a sandwich? Absolute madness. My heart breaks for these people and now the city is making it worse.
This is just plain wrong. People are hungry and cold and the city wants to stop us from helping? Nutter needs to get his priorities straight.
PHILLY IS THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE OR SO THEY SAY. LETS ACT LIKE IT. FED THEM DONT FINED THEM.
Ridiculous. Everyone deserves to eat. If the city wont help them at least let the rest of us do it without getting in trouble.
shame on you mayor. i see guys out there everyday just looking for a meal and you want to shut it down? walk a mile in their shoes first.
